About
Who’s behind Housecraft.
A heart, a household, and a church — in that order.

Our Heart
Our prayer for Housecraft.
Our prayer is simple: that God would use Housecraft to restore households to his design — that hearts would turn fully to Jesus, that families across the generations would learn to follow him together, and that their homes would shine like light houses in their neighborhoods, for his glory and their joy.

Our Household
Our story.
We’re a household in Stillwater, Minnesota, striving to understand God’s design and grow in his wisdom for our family. We grew up in Christian homes, got married at 19 and 18, and went to Bible school (Bethlehem College & Seminary). We’ve been part of three church plants — Revolution Church (2013), All People’s Church (2018), and Light House Church (2025) — with Dale serving as a lay elder/pastor at each. We began having kids in 2018, after eight years of marriage. Dale and his brother took over his parents’ business in 2023.
We love Jesus. We’ve been washed clean and are being transformed by him. His Word is perfect — a fountain of truth and wisdom worthy of lifelong mining. And the local church is required for Christian flourishing. We want every part of our lives submitted to Jesus, empowered by his Spirit, guided by his word, and multiplying disciples in the world around us.
We come from strong family roots, deep church partnership, and years of being discipled in God’s word — richly supplied. Even so, jumping into marriage and eventually kids was not easy — we spent much of the time tripping over ourselves, lost and confused. We had vague senses of what God wanted from his people, but nothing that reached all the way into our real life — all the inputs but not the sum. Then in fall 2022, our church began a sermon series through Genesis, and it changed our lives. In a world so confused about men, women, and their relationship, we saw perfect clarity and beauty in God’s creation.
We learned two things in that time:
- God’s Word is always good for his people — we just need to look, with hearts ready to submit.
- God’s Word has the best plan for men, women, marriage, and family of all time.
These are things we “knew” but really, deeply learned by God’s grace. Pretty quickly — through Dale’s friendship with Daniel Simmons — we were introduced to Jeremy Pryor’s work in Family Teams. We saw God’s design and his wisdom — and found a portal into training, resources, and community that set our quest on fire.
Family Teams taught us that the Western view of family is so broken — family is supposed to be a multi-generational team on mission, a glory and purpose so beautiful to us. Now we’re just trying to continue our journey of learning, and to pass along anything we’ve found formative. We’re new at this. We’re making mistakes. But we’re also growing and changing so much. We have five kids now, and we’re striving, with the help of our extended family and church, to raise them up to keep building our family for the glory of Jesus from one generation to the next.

Our Church
Light House Church.
Housecraft is in close partnership with Light House Church in the Twin Cities — the church where we’re members, and a church that exists to glorify God by multiplying worshipers of Jesus, healthy households, and healthy churches. The two remain distinct.
